How do you make lemonade after having to postpone your wedding twice? You do a second engagement session the same weekend as your "should have been" wedding date!
I had the pleasure of capturing Shauna and Eric's initial engagement photos in February of 2020. They flew out to Idaho and we had so much fun capturing their photos in the snowy Idaho mountains. At that time, their wedding was planned for August 2020 and none of us could have anticipated what the rest of the year would hold. COVID hit, and they made the decision to postpone their wedding to April of 2021. As if postponing once wasn't hard enough, in November of 2020, they found out their original wedding venue closed and they were once again back at square one. When Shauna reached out to let me know, she tossed out the idea of doing another engagement session since they had already used their initial engagement session photos for two different save the dates. My answer was an enthusiastic HECK YES! I already had my flights booked for their April wedding weekend, so I decided to keep my flight and do their second engagement session that weekend instead. A few weeks ago, I flew out to California and we had so much fun running around the beaches of Half Moon Bay and taking their photos. I even got to meet their sweet new puppy Rocky! Shauna and Eric are two of the sweetest and most fun people I have ever met and they have handled this entire year with so much grace. To say that I am excited for their wedding day would be a complete understatement.
Their wedding has since been rescheduled for December of 2021 at Flying Cabalos Ranch in San Luis Obispo. Until I have wedding photos of theirs to share, here are some of my favorites from their beach engagement session!
